JDS Architects has been involved with numerous ranch development projects including barn and out building design, bunkhouse style housing, and out building restoration and renovation. JDS Architects has also designed custom homes within Montana embracing the traditions of western ranch vernacular.
This project played a small but impressive role in the enhancement of the outbuildings and renovations we have completed for the entire ranch. The original homestead “stack” was relocated to a new concrete foundation. The stack was cleaned and then rebuilt with authentic building methods according to the era of the original homestead. We enhanced both the beauty and usefulness of the out structure by adding a covered front porch.
