JDS Architects designed a new 9,800 s.f. office building for the United States Department of Agriculture and assisted with construction administration of the project. The building meets the “green building” techniques required by the most recent Federal Government Standards and meets ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Guidelines. Some of the “Green Building” requirements on the project included low VOC products, using products with dense recycled content, passive lighting and cooling, and highly efficient cooling and heating systems. The building includes an attractive zero maintenance brick and metal exterior.
